Abstract:
This talk will provide insight into running the OpenStack Identity Service (Keystone). The key points of discussion are the basics of running Keystone, best practices when running Keystone (e.g. performance optimizations, why should you use PKI tokens over UUID tokens, what is the benefit of running Keystone under apache mod_wsgi, token expiration considerations, etc), and a quick primer on the authentication plugin framework.
All discussion will be focused on the Havana release of Keystone with some brief touch points on what to expect in the upcoming Icehouse release.
About the Speaker:
Morgan is a Principal Software Engineer for Metacloud.
Morgan has more than a decade of experience in development of large-scale, highly-available systems. His career started in the web-hosting industry where he worked as a Systems Administrator and Engineer. Since then he has held a number of positions at a variety of high-profile companies, including Lead Unix Systems Engineer for MySpace and Senior Reliability Software Engineer for Blizzard Entertainment.
Morgan is a member of the Keystone Core team and is an active contributor to Nova and Cinder.
