OpenStack, PaaS, and the Code-to-Cloud Toolchain

Details

Abstract:

OpenStack, PaaS, and the Code-to-Cloud Toolchain

OpenStack is an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) that cares about your application - and it can serve as the perfect foundation for a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS). From the commercial offerings available today, the open source options and the relevant principal OpenStack projects, there are a wealth of great choices. Chris will give a brief overview of the PaaS landscape as it exists today, followed by a discussion of how to build a world-class PaaS on OpenStack today. The specific OpenStack projects to be covered are Heat, Mistral, Murano, and Solum, in addition to discussing how Cloud Foundry fits in.
