This Calls for Essex-y Party!
Details
OpenStack Essex (http://openstack.org/projects/essex/press-release/) just graduated to final release today! This calls for a celebration.
…But not just any celebration. This calls for Essex-y party!
So put on your captain’s hat and join us for the second OpenStack LA Meetup. We’re going to continue the momentum from what was arguably the best inaugural user group event – ever.
The first speaker, Sean Roberts (http://www.linkedin.com/in/robertssean), who is behind the Infrastructure Strategy at Yahoo! (http://info.yahoo.com/center/us/yahoo/), is set to present on the state of OpenStack. He’ll touch on what’s new in Essex, the future of Folsom, and more!
Carl Perry (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/carl-perry/a/380/9a0), is the Cloud Architect at DreamHost (http://dreamhost.com/) and he has put together a presentation on the real-world deployment of OpenStack. He’ll share with you tips, secrets and pitfalls associated with building a public cloud.
This is an exciting date because several of the attendees will have just participated the OpenStack Design Summit the week before. If there’s interest, I think it would be really cool to have a lightning round with a few of them to get their thoughts and takeaways on the design process and feature decisions for Folsom.
A dinner menu from Ocho Grill can be found below. You can count on beer, soda, coffee and tea.
