Christopher Aedo, Senior Director of Technology Operations at Morphlabs, will present on how Morphlabs uses Puppet to deploy and manage OpenStack environments. Using Puppet to deploy OpenStack greatly reduces headaches, but the process isn’t perfect yet. Christopher will cover the parts that work really well, and the parts that suck donkey dong.
Coincidentally, September 27th marks the date for the next OpenStack release, code-named Folsom!
IMPORTANT: Free underground parking will be available at Paragon Parking (557 S. Hope St.); bring the parking ticket with you and we’ll stamp it for validation. Please take the entrance ramp off of Hope St. and park below ground level (not the street-level lot). The after-hours entrance into the AON building is on Wilshire Blvd. and Hope St. If the doors are locked, please use the intercom on the right-hand side, and mention the Meetup in DreamHost’s office. DreamHost is located about two blocks from the 7th Street/ Metro Center (service via Blue, Red, Purple, Expo and Silver lines).
