OpenStack 6th Anniversary/ OpenStack for VMware Technologists

Abstract:
OpenStack is gaining momentum and user adoption is increasing. As a result, many VMware admins and architects are being pressed into service to evaluate, deploy and managed new OpenStack clouds. But is OpenStack just a free alternative to VMware technologies or are there actual substantive differences? Is there a way to integrate VMware technologies like vSphere with OpenStack?

This presentation will walk through OpenStack architectures and components and explain them using terminology familiar to VMware technologists. We will walk through what uses cases are best for OpenStack and what use cases are best on VMware infrastructure. We will also drill down on how OpenStack is able to integrate with vSphere using the vCenter driver for OpenStack.
