Attention Stackers and Networkers: During this OpenStack Networking Meetup, we'll provide an open atmosphere for networking and sharing information.

Come learn about one of the most talked about (and often frustrating) topics in OpenStack: Networking. We'll cover the basic architecture of Neutron networking, challenges customers face and things to consider when designing or implementing your cloud.

Azmir helps set product and solutions strategy for the Open Networking Suite for OpenStack. Prior to joining PLUMgrid, he was Vice President, Product Management at Cloudscaling where he was responsible for defining their product and service strategy. Azmir has also held various product management roles at VMWare, where he was responsible for VMware's datacenter storage, backup and replication product portfolio. He also held various technical and product roles at Cisco Systems.

An Introduction to Database as a Service with an Emphasis on OpenStack using Trove

Presenter: Amrith Kumar, Tesora CTO

Aimed at a broad audience including IT Managers, CxO, database users, DevOps or Developers in an IT organization, this presentation provides an introduction to OpenStack Trove, Database as a Service, and will also present an in depth exploration of the architecture of Trove, with a view of the roadmap of features for upcoming events.

It presents some practical examples of benefits achieved in adopting DBaaS, and shares learnings from the adoption process, and highlights some potential pitfalls. It also helps participants understand the internals and architecture of Trove and provides the participate with knowledge that would be useful in assessing, deploying and managing Trove in the enterprise. It will conclude by presenting a view of the roadmap of features for upcoming releases, including Kilo.

Amrith Kumar brings more than two decades of experience delivering industry-leading products for companies specializing in enterprise storage applications, fault tolerant high performance systems and massively parallel databases to Tesora, which he co-founded. Earlier, he served as VP of Technology and Product Management at Dataupia, maker of the Satori Data Warehousing platform, and Sepaton’s Director and General Manager where he was responsible for the development of the core virtual tape library product.
