Details

Presenter: Cynthia Thomas, Midokura

OpenStack is an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform developed by the Open Source community and is designed to provide orchestration for building clouds on the fly. In this talk, we'll:

• Take a stroll down memory lane from a networking perspective.

• Recall the early stages of Nova-Networking and how it evolved to Neutron today.

• Look at what to expect in the future of Neutron.

We'll also discuss the network functionality and its shortcomings over the evolution of Neutron.

Cynthia (@techcet) is a member of the Systems Engineering team at Midokura. She enjoys highlighting the emerging technologies in network virtualization as application needs evolve. Her background in networking hardware spans from Telco, Data Center, and Campus/Enterprise solutions.
