    Hi again!

    One more:

If I would present what I was interested in, what I was looking for, and what my resources in the matter consists of, I would say:

I am interested in doing Cinder more versatile, able to connect to more storage solutions, like many of the open source storage solutions that exists out there.

I KNOW that many people doing OpenStack projects have difficulties with the storage part, just because of this reason:
They don't want to pay $$$$$$ for a proprietary storage solution. NOT for the developement project, and perhaps not even for the production infrastructure.

So I am looking for people interested in adapting Cinder to other storage solutions than the proprietary ones that is supported now.

My resources is that I'm a Storage pro, I know a lot of these things, I have access to a lot of storage and datacenter infrastructure where projects like this could be run.

I believe a project like this would be very valuable for the OpenStack community.

    Hi again!

So here I continue my last post: Why not organize a meeting where the entire meeting was dedicated to people interested in doing projects around OpenStack? Ask the group what they think of this????

    For example:

"This meeting is dedicated to group members that are interested to run OpenStack projects together with other group members.
Hopefully we find members that have project interests that meet my interests, and possess skills and resources that I need and lack, and that I possess skills and resources that other people need and lack."

    Hi all!

Well, I tell you why I go to meetings like this:

I'd like to get in touch with people who, like me, are interested in doing some work with OpenStack.

This was my first meeting in this group, and it did not at all meet my expectations in THAT matter.

I'd like ALL meetings to include a BIG part of investigating what the participants want to do, and give space to, and also try to organize it.

For example, let people tell which projects they would like to see, which resources they need, which resources they possess themself, how they would imagine such a project looked like, etc.

And hopefully we would be able to run some live projects in the group, where group members could join or leave as they want, and that the whole OpenStack user group could benefit from.

I can't write more in this post, so I post one more after this.

    Hi!

I joined this group to get a better grip on what I can do for openstack, and what openstack can do for me.

I am a storage pro, perhaps the first in Sweden to work with open source storage.

So my interest lays in the ability to develope open source enterprise storage solutions/infrastructure for openstack.
Cinder has now some block storage "drivers" for proprietary enterprise storage, but I'd like to open it up more, and get more generic "drivers" for existent and coming open source storage solutions.

Hi, Nicolae! Well, perhaps, I'd like to visit the meeting first, to see what kind of audience we got, and get a feeling for what we can do.
