Welcome to another OpenStack meetup!
The meetup will take place at 17:30 on Wednesday 6th of April 16 at DEK Technologies Sweden.
This evening we will talk about OpenStack in Docker Containers and Murano - the OpenStack Application Catalog.
Ahmad Al-Shishtawy will go through his experience and design choices while deploying OpenStack at the SICS ICE data center. SICS ICE (Infrastructure and Cloud data center test Environment) is a large-scale testing and experimentation facility at Luleå aimed at supporting data center related research across all layers from the infrastructure up to the applications. Ahmad will discuss the advantages of deploying OpenStack services inside Docker containers. How using containers may simplify the configuration, operation, and life cycle management of OpenStack. Then we will take a quick look at the OpenStack Kolla project, a deployment and management tool that simplifies and automates the management of various OpenStack Services using Docker containers and Ansible.
Giovanni Della Corte and Fabio Imperato will instead talk about their experience with Murano project at DEK Technologies Italy.
