The Blue Hills (http://osm.org/go/ZfIqH~pF-) is a great reservation with many trails. Many of them are already on the map, but not all. This is an opportunity to combine a nice hike in Blue Hills with hands-on experience of surveying and editing OpenStreetMap.
We meet at Houghton's Pond parking lot (http://osm.org/go/ZfIqQjKM?m=) to identify areas with trails missing in OSM. We then survey trails by foot for a couple of hours. Finally, we sit down at a nearby WiFi equipped restaurant/cafe for lunch and to put the trails on the map. We'll also look at some examples of trail maps that were created from OpenStreetMap data.
We meet here (rain or shine):

• Appropriate clothing, water and gear for light hiking
• GPS or smartphone
• Laptop+mouse or tablet (for editing after the hike)
