Are you interested in learning more about maps, map making, and new community mapping trends? If so, this meetup group is for you! The goal of the OpenStreetMap Los Angeles Meetup Group is to bring new and experienced mappers together to discuss the OpenStreetMap project, as well as get out and map.

OpenStreetMap is a global, open source map that can be contributed, edited and used by anyone anywhere. It could be considered a wikipedia of maps. You can learn more about OpenStreetMap, and the amazing mapping projects being carried out, here: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org

Our meetups are open to everyone, from Open Source enthusiasts, Cyclists, GIS Professionals, Geocachers, Hikers and beyond. Feel free to spread the word, invite new members, and propose events ideas as well as locations.
