Ecuador Map-a-thon
Details
OpenStreetMap Seattle with help from Luke Bergmann, UW Professor, is hosting a Map-a-thon to assist with disaster relief in Ecuador after the terrible 7.8 earthquake.
No experience is needed, but you'll need a laptop and mouse. After a quick tutorial on map editing with iD, we will work on one or more of the OSM HOT (http://hotosm.org/) tasks.
If you have an extra power strip, please bring it. Some laptops just don't work on battery for two hours.
The mouse come in handy for drawing buildings. We highly recommend using a mouse to improve the quality of the map.
