OpenStreetMap 8th Birthday Party

  • August 18, 2012 · 4:00 PM

OpenStreetMap is turning eight, and celebrations will be held world wide. Be part of the local celebrations in Toronto.

Meet other mappers and curious newcomers. Ask about what you want to know and share your interest in OpenStreetMap. Perhaps we'll have a demonstration of some OpenStreetMap editing software? We'll start at 4pm and go for as long as the conversation is scintillating, so feel free to join us even if you can't arrive right on time. This meetup will be held at a private, Super Secret venue near Yonge Street and Front Street. You must rsvp here or directly by email to get past security. New mappers always welcome, but for this one be sure to rsvp early. Do not bring gifts for the birthday database.

Had a great time even though I was late - good to see everyone again. Sorry I missed you Stewart C; you disappeared before I could say goodbye. :)

I'm going to say, "Toronto". How about the rest of us?

I think "Edmonton" for me, since Toronto appears to be taken [grin] What about you, Stewart?

Probably not Edmonton. I'm going to be predictable, and say Glasgow.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
