Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Group!

Our goal is very simple. Completely map out Vancouver Island on OpenStreetMap. This is actually a never ending job, as the land continues to change :

OpenStreetMap.org is an open-source, online map of the World! (Think Wikipedia... but as a map!)

We work together as a community of map builders, all working on the same goal. We share ideas and learn from each other.

Our focus here on the island can be summed up with 3 main types of mappers. Those who want to work on the hiking map, those who want to work on the cyclemap, and everyone else who just wants to make the map better.

Look forward to meeting everyone at the meetups!
