OperAmore

London Centre for Italian Opera-starting up commitee

Our plan is to create a centre of promoting Italian culture in the United Kingdom by means of Italian opera - one of the most representative and widely known artistic expressions of the Italian cultural identity.

OperAmore will offer:

-meetings and talks before and after opera performances,
aperitifs, dinners and parties in which famous singers and musicians will be the guests of honour,

  • group outings to opera-related events such as book and CD presentations and art exhibitions,
  • opera private and public concerts, singing courses, Italian courses, and opera projects for schools,
-producing our own performances opera and classical music,
  • training and seminars for young artists studying Italian opera and classical music,
-opera trips in Italy to the most important Italian opera theatres like La Scala and Arena di Verona,
  • social networking events revolving around Italian opera, Italian classical music, Italian culture and the Italian language,
    -corporate and fund-raising events.

Central to our mission is to develop new audiences, in particular young people and other people which for social, historical or cultural reasons have had little or no exposure to Italian opera.

Our slogan is: ITALIAN OPERA IS “FANTASTICA"!
