*During the meetup
**Head Dan http://meetup.com/Orange-County... announced he was interested in Python running in the browser
**He said there are now a number of Pythons running in the web browser
**I said ~"Cool! Would you like to do a presentation on that, say at next meeting?"
**He said "Ok, I'll do that."
*Ok, I'm now scheduling it for next mtg http://meetu.ps/MSlSn : see description point http://1.JotHere.com/MJHref?q=&... .

A few random notes from last nights meeting:
Google fusion was mentioned multiple times throughout the evening. Fusion engine will not geocode in the backgrouund, only when table editor is connected.
There are a dozen pythons that run in the browser. Even XSLT in a browser. -- Dan

Hey guys, if you guys want to check on a project for geocoding, I'm trying to build a site for posting jobs and resumes. So whenever you type a skill, address, or company on the application, you'll e able to find work within the area. Here's the sample code on github: https://github.com/fritzdenim/as...

KEY STUFF TO BRING FOR THIS MTG THIS EVE 6pm-10pm. Quoting from our agenda http://1.JotHere.com/967#M3BB40 as this cannot be said enough, quote:
M3BB40: Key stuff to bring:
MJGNGL:Bring your devices for accessing Meetup & portable Internet if you have it.
M6VJ4I:DEFINITELY BRING YOUR LAPTOP –VERY IMPORTANT, including for posting questions & announcements, RSVPing for & suggesting future events & topics, and web research.

M0SVG5:If programming or learning-to, BRING YOUR HARDWARE & SOFTWARE for coding/developing (your laptop+mobile devices+hookup cables)
M0TCJ6: If you don’t yet have the software (as Android IDE) installed, that’s fine, as we provide it and help you install it during our meeting (at least in OCAndroid).

IN ADDITION TO YOUR LAPTOP, GET & BRING YOUR PORTABLE INTERNET, ideally sharable Wifi Hotspot.
*This venue is a lot of fun(I've held many great meetings there for OCAndroid) but it lacks Internet. And in this meeting, every attend will need to be surfing the web with his/her laptop (for the training, RSVPs,event planning, grp posting, &much more). So 2help solve this, get&bring your portable Internet described above.
*I'll be bringing my T-Mobile 4G Android phone w/highly recommended FoxFi app http://1.JotHere.com/1961#M1B3G... but it's sometimes flaky&likely not enough for all 18 of us.
*So bring ur own, too, ideally that u can share. U can bring:
**ur smartphone w/FoxFi-or-equivalent-or-rooting (to avoid hving 2pay extra for hotspot) or buy ur carrier's hotspot option, or
**a separate portable hotspot, as perhaps extremely clever YourKarma http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-33... -making u very cool!

So this is maybe not a suggestion for next meeting, but I'd love to have someone do a presentation on how to properly use git/GitHub.
Certainly not Python-specific, but I'm sure something that would be very useful to any Python programmers who don't already use it (and selfishly I'd like someone to explain to me which commands I'm supposed to use and which I can just ignore as I'm just barely learning it).
