Hello everyone, we are extremely excited to announce our first meetup!! Based on your responses and bio’s, we will be having a speaker directly from 10gen!! Asya Kamsky has been with 10gen for 1 year and has been supporting a wide variety of MongoDB users nationally. Asya will introduce us to MongoDB as well as some of the new features of the 2.2 release!!

Speaker bio:

Asya is a Senior Solutions Architect based wherever our customers and prospects are. Asya spent seven years in a similar position at Coverity, a leading development testing (aka static analysis) company. Before that she spent twelve pain-filled years working with relational databases as a developer, DBA, data architect and datawarehousing specialist at places like EGreetings and a bunch of failed start-ups you've never heard of. Asya has a couple of Computer Science degrees from Cornell and New York University.

    It was a very informative session. The presenter's analogy of Hadoop and MongoDB really helped me put the two technology into perspective.
