Hi everyone

We will be having our first meeting of the OC Python web developers group in the"Craft Room" at Heritage Park Community center in Irvine.

Heritage park is located at the corner of Walnut Ave and Yale Ave (between Culver and Yale)

The Community center building is the one closest to the 5 Fwy. There are entrances to the parking lot on both Walnut and Yale. The Craft room is on the first floor to your right as you enter the front entrance.

Here is a brief outline of the topics I would like us to discuss in the first meeting:

-The goals and mission of the group

-Selecting an application to build for learning and experimentation

-Selecting a web stack for the application

-Outlining the specific components of the application that we can start hacking on.

Note that for legal ownership reasons the application we choose should be a clone of an existing application. So if you have an application that you like in mind, please submit your suggestions.

Here is my suggested application:

PyOverflow - a clone of StackOverflow.com which would be an open source Q&A site for Python programming questions.

Hope to see you all there.
