Hollywood Liquor Store Wine Tasting

I am posting this on behalf of Robert Volz who will be hosting this event tomorrow.  I have an appointment but will try to stop by after.

Come on by. Don't worry if you are late. I have 8 fun new small producer bottles to share and talk about. Yes, there will be snacks bordering on a full meal.

$5 gets you wine and food and maybe a new respect for a varietal you weren't as familiar with.

I really enjoyed it. The store was impressive; the host was very knowledgeable, and the wine was great! Lots of nice people attended, too!

Someone asked "when did liquor stores start selling wine?"
The answer, last summer. The OLCC is currently allowing 4 stores to sell beer/wine as a pilot program. To qualify, a store has to pony up cash for the right to do so. As wine director, I am trying to create a mix of brands you know, and would see in most stores, as well as a good mix of small family owned wineries. Come by, have some nosh, eat some snacks, make a friend or two and learn a thing or two.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
