This month Bryce Kerley from Basho is going to do a talk on Riak, the open source database created by Basho. Here's a description of his talk:

Riak is a distributed, open-source, key-value store that scales to your needs simply and without downtime. If parts of your application are outgrowing relational databases, this talk will teach you how to redesign those parts to work inside the constraints of a distributed database.
