Our group, the Orlando Freethought Exchange is about learning how to work and live agreeably along side those with different beliefs.
We attempt to visit places of worship (i.e. churches etc.) to speak about who we are and what we believe or disbelieve. We ideally, want to bring believers and nonbelievers together for an open respectful dialog on issues of life, beliefs, and world-views. Our goal is to change the way we perceive one another and about tearing down common misconceptions about people of opposing ideologies.
Simply stated, we are thoughtful and easy-going non-believers who are looking to open a dialog between Christians and non-Christians.
Often in our world those without religion are sorely misunderstood, that’s why we have started the “Get To Know An Atheist” program. We want to show believers that we are normal people who live, love and care about those around us. We are not here to change you, but simply to demonstrate that we have more in common than not.
Lastly, we are not advocating a blending of beliefs but rather creating an environment of mutual respect for one another.
