Blues House Concert with Firebelly (as a trio)

Firebelly will be representing Ottawa at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN, January 29-February 2, 2013. They have been gaining fans at gigs in local bars as well as performances at Calobogie Peaks Resort and Conference Centre and the Mont Tremblant International Blues Festival. This is your opportunity to see, hear and meet them in an informal and intimate setting.

Firebelly is a relatively new band dedicated to fostering Blues & Roots music into the future, while respecting its rich traditions. Its members are fueled by a collective passion to make great music. The music of these four gifted improvisers is pure, raw & spontaneous & no song is ever played exactly the same way twice. Firebelly’s fresh sound is also infused with diverse elements of Funk, Swing, Folk, Zydeco, Roots and Country, resulting in a rich & unique blend that energizes the spirit & soothes the soul!

This will be an acoustic event, without drums.

I will provide soft drinks, coffee and light snacks. Contributions of snacks are welcomed, but do not feel obligated to bring anything other than yourself and any alcoholic beverages you wish to consume. Seating is limited! Music will start at 2:30 and there will be an intermission.
