Join us for our January Social! This month’s social is taking place Tuesday, January 19 (6:00PM) in the basement of the James Street Pub. Come out and network over a pint with a great group of folks.

This month at the Ottawa GoGeomatics Social, Jonathan Murphy, the founder and Managing Director of GoGeomatics Canada will be giving a talk on his recent experiences working in Canada’s oil patch.

While many oil & gas companies in Alberta are scaling back projects, Jonathan has joined a thriving geomatics company that is bringing an innovative approach to “why WHERE matters.”

Jonathan will be discussing the technological challenges of incorporating legacy GIS systems with new approaches to managing equipment, production, and personnel. This talk will demonstrate the challenges and opportunities presented by leveraging location technology in the oil patch; it is possible to bring down operational costs while improving efficiencies and safety.

Please join GoGeomatics Canada as we explore the technology and work of Sight Surveillance, one of Canada’s most innovative and forward looking geomatics companies.

These regular networking events are always fun, and always free. See you there!
