This is part of an ongoing series of talks on varying faiths and nonfaiths. Tony Young, the head of OIC is a personal friend with the assistant to the Dalai Lama, 'Geishe Lai' lived in the Buddhist Monastery in Tibet from the age of 8. He has spoken a number of times in these International Connection forums in Washington DC. He is a very respected teacher on Buddhism, and lives and travels with the Dalai Lama most of the time. The details and confirmation need to be worked out, and so the date is not certain. Please stayed tuned. He will most likely speak via skype, although it is not out of the question he will come in person. We encourage people to take time to read up and do your homework on these subjects beforehand. Much time and effort is put forth to create these varying discussions and give you an opportunity to ask questions in an objective forum, from truly respected individuals. We would also encourage people to take time and respectfully listen to all of the varying events on faith and non-faith, in that the goal is to better understand varying traditions, or skeptic isms in an objective manner. OIC wants to provide avenues for all of us to understand and listen to the 'Other'.
