CFI-Ottawa presents: Pandemic disease - should we be worried?

The Centre for Inquiry - Ottawa presents the following event.

Epidemiologist Alex Demarsh will discuss the history of pandemics and future risk, a topic that was originally scheduled for the Sunday morning session at the Eschaton 2012 conference.

The talk will gauge current pandemic risk by examining historic events, trends, and drivers, and examining which of these determinants of risk have changed, are currently changing, or are likely to change in the near future.

The cost of the event is $2 for members of CFI, and $5 for non-members (for more information about becoming a member of CFI go to cfiottawa.com/join).

The talk will be followed by refreshments and time for informal discussion.
