Main topic / theme

Francis Joanis (homepage | twitter) will be giving us a talk titled "Ruby and Erlang United." Here's the abstract:

---- Snip ----

Ruby and Erlang United - This talk will give an introduction to the Erlang ecosystem and look at what would be the benefits of interconnecting it to Ruby. As an example we'll show how a Rails app can interface with an Erlang backend and look at the possibilities this opens up.

---- End Snip ---

Lightning Talks

 1. Stephen Russet will be talking about his Github-Analytics gem.

 2. Tristan Hume will be giving us a talk on "Hacking Together a Gem in 10 Minutes."

We still have room for one more Lightning Talk. If you're up for giving a quick Lightning Talk on Tuesday, we'd love to have you. Please fill in this short form to let us know, or leave a comment below.

Meetup has allowed me to meet people I wouldn't have met naturally - they're totally different than me.
