Course Description: Come experience in the field training amongst the southern Utah red rocks with our 3-day Technical Canyoneering Course. This course will provide you the opportunity to improve your technical skills. Day 1- Evaluation day Descend a canyon with your fellow students and instructors. Everyone will be given an opportunity to demonstrate his or her technical know how. If you are brand new to the sport your training starts now! Wrap up the day with technical instruction and dinner prepared by your instructors. Day 2-3Technical instruction/demonstration/practical application Spend the next two days learning how to become a more competent canyoneer through hands on training and field demonstration. You will descend two new canyons during these next two days.

Registration is required for this course Course minimum 5 students Course maximum 10 students Skills and topics Covered: -Canyon Rating System -Weather and topography -Gear Selection -Ethics -Knots -Rigging -Anchors -Personal on rope skills Technical gear requirements Personal gear is recommended but not required for this course. Gear is available upon request. Please wear sturdy shoes (nothing opened toed). Ropes will be provided by the instructors Personal gear checklist(For those bringing their own) -Helmet -Harness -Totem (No other rappel devices will be accepted) -Safety Tether -Extra locking biners Misc. gear requirements
