What part of the area would you like to see rides in?

Since I'm now retired I ride for pleasure a lot, especially on the West side. I like riding in rural pasture land---I love the smell of cow shit in the morning! It smells like cycling.

What level of rides do you like - short and easy, long and challenging, or somewhere in between??

Since I am, and always will be, an intermediate rider, a perfect ride for me is 25-35 miles @ 12-15 mph. Because I'm a Triple A Rider ( Arthritic, Asthmatic & Aged) I'm a slug on hills (especially now that I ride a trike rather than a DF bike) but I'm not afraid of them and I will make it to the top one way or another even if I have to walk part way. There is no shame in walking your bike, as long as nobody sees you.

Are you a fair-weather rider or do you ride year round?

Rain or shine but if it's over 50% chance of rain AND there's a nasty headwind, I'll consider going to the gym instead or settling in with a good book.

I'd better. I wrote it.

In Out Spoke'n, anyone who posts a ride is a ride leader. So if you feel the urge, and have a ride you're doing and would like to invite others to join you, GO FOR IT!

I already BE one.

Retired lawyer, mostly retired corporate and personal chef, Dad to three and husband to Judith, the love of my life, but she says my trike's my mistress. I have two mottoes: I ride for pleasure, not for pain & Get out of my f***ing kitchen!
