Neighborhood Holiday Tradition: Living Nativity

Each year, Bethany runs an amazing community event in December - the Living Nativity. It is located on the same lawn space as the Outdoor Movie Nights in summer. We consider this to be our seasonal gift to the children of the neighborhood. Animals, including a donkey and several geese, are brought in from Friendly Farms in De Kalb to form a Christmas tableau, with local volunteers in costume to play the roles of Mary and Joseph.
This a great way to get into the holiday spirit - free hot chocolate - live animals - and a life sized Nativity set out on the lawn. Come out on December 6th and get into the holiday spirit! We will be collecting non-perishable food items and winter coats for the families of Ravenswood School - thanks in advance for any donations.
