Ice House Canyon hike

THIS IS A SIERRA CLUB HIKE WITH 2 TRAINED LEADERS.
We are the Sierra Club's Forest Committee.
Join us for an easy paced moderate hike ,(7.2 miles round trip,2'620 gain), up a lush forested canyon of Pine and Cedar, following a cool mountain stream to an over look of the Cucamonga Wilderness that we are trying to get expanded.
At the half way point, we will stop for lunch and write a brief letter to support the expansion of the Cucamonga Wilderness area.
Find out efforts being made to make the Angeles National Forest into a National
Recreation area; similar to the Santa Monica Mountains National Area.
For Your safety, please bring the following: Lunch, 2 quarts water, high top boots,(no trail runners or tennis shoes), dress in layers and bring raingear.
Sierra Club Leaders are Rick Farber and Juana Torres and we will be wearing
t-shirts that say," San Gabriel Mountains Forever".
Temperatures for Saturday in Ice house Canyon are upper 50s to low 60s and
it will be clear.
