Descano (Gardens) motorway hike

Although parking at ďescano gardens is free, dont park there. They close at 5 pm, so your car may be locked in. Plentty of street parking.

Lets hike around Descano Gardens. We will hike to the watch tower. The road is mostly fireroads with little shade. Hike is under 5 miles round trip. Elevation Gain: 600 feet, (but a total of 2000 feet with ups and downs on the trail. The hike has a good workout because it gives good elevation gain. We will have good views of Descano Gardens, la cresenta , la canada, etc.

We will come back a narrow shady trail that takes us into a quiet neighborhood. There are no sidewalks, so we will have to walk along the street for 10 to 15 minutes. Not many cars go on it.

Need water, sunglases, sneakers with good traction, sunglases.
