Annual Spooky Haunted Halloween Hike

Details
What is more spooky than hearing owls and coyotes howling at night? We'll experience the spookiness of this--animal sounds not guaranteed. :(
We are going to 2 cool Halloween sites in Griffith Park!
-
Ghost Train Ride (video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQcOylH-kKI&feature=channel_video_title ).
-
Haunted Halloween Hay Ride. http://losangeleshauntedhayride.com/flash/index.html . We should be by there before it opens at 7 PM. We're not going on it.
We will do an approximately 3- 3 1/2 hours hike ( we'll make a stop at the Hay Ride/carnival). It is approximately 6-7 miles and 1,000 feet elevation gain hike. We are meeting at LA Live Steamers below Travel Town (it used to be a Prisoner of War Camp during WW2 http://www.beneathla.com/go.cgi?=travel1 ) in Griffith Park. Meet in front of LA Live Steamers (little trains) front parking lot at 4:15 PM, but leave at 4:30 PM. Map for LA Live Steamers: http://www.lals.org/images/MapToLALS.gif
A map of Griffith Park: http://angeles.sierraclub.org/griffith/images/GriffithParkMap-large.jpg
Costumes and candy (to share) are optional. Leader will bring Halloween candy.
Bring a liter of water, shoes with good traction. Rain postpones hike.
THis hike isn't recommended for beginners or easily scared. Date may change. For parking, I recommend parking at the lot across the street from the LA Live Steamers, so you can get out of there quicker after the hike.
Address:
5202 Zoo Dr
Los Angeles,CA 90027
Afterwards, we may go on the Ghost Train Ride.
This is a Sierra Club hike, so you'll have to sign a waiver.
