3 Days Camping trip at Avalon, Catalina

Join us for a fun and exciting trip to Avalon the main town of Catalina Island! During this trip you will experience Avalon like never before by spending three fantastic days camping, hiking, and exploring what this little charming seaside town has to offer! Spring time is a great time to visit Catalina Island as the whole island will be green and wild flowers will be blooming!

Our adventure will begin Friday morning when we will catch a fast ride on Catalina Express to Avalon from Long Beach. We will set up camp at the Hermit Gulch Campground which offers flush toilets, hot showers, and fresh water.

During our fabulous stay we have the following on the agenda:

A fun guided Scenic Tour of Avalon Visit to the Wrigley Memorial and Botanical Gardens Bus ride to Airport in the Sky with plenty of Buffalo sightings along the way! Hike to Little Harbor on the West side of the island A short presentation by the Catalina Island Conservancy who owns the majority of the island and makes it possible for hikers and campers to enjoy the trails on the island Hikes ranging from 4 miles to 6 miles with 1600ft elevation gain Explore the little shops around Avalon and the Catalina Art Fair and Exhibition Free time to do any other fun activities you may want to engage in

Trip fee includes boat ride over on Catalina Express, camping fees, Catalina Island hiking permits, guided Scenic Tour of Avalon, entrance fee to Wrigley Botanical Gardens, bus ride to Airport in the Sky, bus pick up from Little Harbor back to camp, meals from Friday lunch to Sunday lunch, AND Happy Hour Friday and Saturday nights!!!! Yes! All of that for a bargain price of $199!!

All participants will need to bring their own tent (or share one), sleeping bag, sleeping pad, reuseable dinnerware, and a friendly attitude! Participants will be expected to help with campsite setup and takedown as well as signing up for meal prep and clean-up. Campers will also be required to sign a liability waiver which must be submitted upon check-in prior to departure from Long Beach.

Cancellations made 30 days prior to trip start date will receive full refund. Cancellations made 7-29 days prior to trip start date will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 7 days before the trip. All exceptions to this policy shall be reviewed by the trip leader after the completion of the trip.
