2013 New Years Hike--Little Known Trail in GP

It is a holiday, so lets hike! It is the first day of 2013! You'll go on a little known trail in Griffith Park. Bet most of you haven't been on some of these trails--the entrance is hidden in a residential area. It is a scenic part of Griffith Park. Hike is 4- 5 miles RT with 600-700 elevation gain. It should be around 2 hours. It is a moderate hike. We'll hike to a pine tree forest (most of you have been here). We'll take a break there.

Meeting spot is corner of Crystal Springs & Los Feliz Blvd--the entrance of Griffith Park. Meet in front of the statute of Mr. Griffith.It is across the street from the water fountain. There is street parking.Meet at 2:30 PM and leave at 2:45 PM.

Rain cancels hike. If it is sprinkling (ground not all wet), we may still do it. I'll let everyone know. If ground is all wet, it is cancelled.
