What we’re about

Outwoods, being a strictly volunteer, non-profit organization, is a vehicle for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allies (GLBTA) community and their friends in Minnesota and adjacent states to publicize quality, enjoyable, non-competitive, outdoor recreational activities. The best way to learn about Outwoods and meet other people is to come on an event. However, there is no person or committee that plans activities; trips happen when individuals share their ideas on meetup. The one principle underlying all Outwoods activities is volunteerism: the success of the club depends on the willingness of people to organize activities.

In consideration of Outwoods granting participants permission to participate in the listed events, participants hereby waive all claims for damage or loss to  person or property that may be caused by their participation in the events. Participants assume all risks of loss, injury or damage of any kind whatsoever to any property that participant may own, or that belongs to another and that participants brings with them on the event. Participants assume all risks of loss, injury or damage of any kind whatsoever to them resulting from dangerous or non-dangerous activity that the participant may engage in while participating in the event, preparing for this event, or traveling to or from the event, that might result from their own inexperience or negligence, or from the negligence of Outwoods, its leaders, volunteers, board members or other agents. Participants further release Outwoods and agree to hold harmless Outwoods and all persons acting under Outwoods’ authority from all liabilities and claims arising out of such loss, injury or damage that is related to this event. Participants are responsible  to have the knowledge, understanding and ability that are required to participate in the events. Participants are to be 18 years of age or older. Participation in the events are voluntary.
