• Stanley will be talking about project Freematics: http://arduinodev.com/freematics/

Our regulars will be pitching in too:

Ross will be teaching the basics on the soldering station
Martin is talking about programming Atmel AVRs

Due to popular demand... we will do an opt-in pizza run this month for those that are hungry!

Beginners are always welcome, If you are just curious or starting out, all you will need is a laptop and a blank 8GB SD card. We will get you started on one of our club RaspberryPi kits.

6 hours – relaxed, unstructured collaboration and learning, come and go as you please. Help others or ask for help with your project.

Micro talks on the hour - Starting from 1pm. Get up and speak about your project (or another topic of interest) for 10 minutes. This is optional, but we hope this will help get people together.

Did Ian Lyons have a makerdrone with the auto-stabilised camera? Were the slides available online?
Would like to know the names of the camera/gimble pieces, and open softwares refered to.
    Cheers.

Right now I am devoting to my project Freematics (http://arduinodev.com) which is about using Arduino in cars. I exhibited the project at the World Maker Faire last month in NYC. I would like to introduce about it if people are interested in it.

Yes Martin, the Atmel programming will be of interest. Also as mentioned in the discussion forums, I will give a rundown on soldering techniques, basic principles and practical issues etc. I will also have an Android phone project with me, I would very much appreciate if I can get some help reloading it with sane software.

    October 11, 2013

  • Martin S.

I can give a talk about how to program an Atmel AVR (the processor used in the Arduino) if that is of interest
