The mission statement of the Prison Aftercare Network of Wisconsin is- "A network of Christian Ministries and Organization providing information to reduce recidivism."
The affiliates in our network believe that Jesus Christ can change the hearts of those in bondage in this world to become productive citizens in our communities. Our affiliates and resource providers agree that it takes many ministries and organizations to work together to provide the needs of those returning from prison to our community.
We begin working with men and women, who are desiring to follow Jesus Christ both inside and out of prison, a minimum of 18 months prior to their release. Inmates apply to the network through an application process and then are given tools and resource to help them find housing, food, clothing, employment, health care needs, etc. when they are released. We feel that the inmate must do the work of their release, so they must write to and follow through with the resources we provide to them for a successful release.
Our main focus is to provide a Christian mentor to help them spiritually in their growth as a Christain and to help them stay on track with the goals they would like to acheive after their release.
