Science Technology & Engineering Preview Summer (STEPS) Camp for Girls is a day-camp preview of science, engineering and technology for young ladies between the 6th and 7th grades.
The theme of airplane flight is utilized to integrate technical classes and recreational activities, all the while encouraging social development and personal growth. The girls, in teams of roughly ten, each manufacture and assemble a radio controlled airplane with the assistance of teachers, counselors and volunteers. By the end of the week, the girls fly their airplanes at a sanctioned fly field, with the help of certified pilots. Throughout the week, the girls learn theory of flight, utilize manufacturing equipment and tools, and ultimately learn a lot more about their own personal capabilities and potential.

There is a great need for volunteers Tuesday June 18 and Tuesday June 25 between 8am and 12:30pm. Volunteers are also invited to attend the Fly Night Thursday June 20 and Thursday June 27 to see the finished products!

I'll contact all who join with volunteer a volunteer information form and confirm report time.
