Organizer’s Goal: To establish a forum through which Portland data professionals can network, discuss their experiences, and exchange insights with respect to long term preservation & access.
Agenda:

I will make a relatively short presentation on the topic of data curation, including discussion of Data Lifecycles, Representation, Transformation, Context Layers, Appraisal, Collection Development, Risk Assessment and Priorities.
-
Open discussion, and expansion on topic. Attendees are welcome to remain anonymous, given any proprietary or privacy concerns.
-
Determine where to go next.
Given that the number of initial members exceeded my expectations, I jumped from trying pick a café/bar, and instead booked a conference room for the evening.
No RSVP? Please consider coming at the last minute.
