Kick off Meetup: Thinking in Events

Details

Join us for our inaugural kick off meeting where we will have a guest speaker from the larger PowerShell community. We will be offering pizza and refreshments courtesy of Sapien Technologies. We have limited space available for the first meeting because of the venue so please RSVP. Laptop is required to participate in the lab activities

*NOTE: Our event is hosted at a secure facility. Please RSVP with your name as it appears on your license so that we can have guest badges created for each attending POSHer.

Parking: West lot of Montgomery Park building, check in with security at the front desk for directions to the 7th floor. Please use the glass elevators.

Guest Speaker: June Blender of Sapien Technolgies
Topic: Thinking in Events
Description:
Scripts are fabulous for automation, but they're not always the best solution, especially when you need to delegate tasks to people who don't know PowerShell. June will lead a hands-on lab where you'll create a GUI app based on Windows PowerShell, write event handlers for Windows Forms events, and package your GUI app in an executable file for distribution. To participate in the lab, bring a laptop (or VM) with Windows PowerShell 3.0 or later, or just come and enjoy the fun.
