Carbon and Continuous Delivery
It’s humble brag time! Come learn a little about Continuous Delivery and how it led to the creation of my open-source Carbon module (http://get-carbon.org). I’ll talk about how WebMD has done, is doing, and wants to do Continuous Delivery, and what role Carbon plays in that process. I’ll highlight my favorite parts of Carbon and (hopefully), we’ll have time for a lab exercise at the end where you can experience using it. For best results, come with some kind of application configuration problem you need solved.
For the lab, you’ll need a Windows OS running PowerShell 4 or 5 with Carbon installed. If there is internet access, you should be able to install it if you’ve got either the Package Management modules or Chocolatey installed. As a last resort, you can download the ZIP file.
