Do you love to sew?
. . Do you want to take your skills up to the next level?
. . . . Do you want inspiration, aspiration, and just a touch of peer pressure?
Whether you're just cutting out your first commercial pattern or you're an experienced designer ... whether you want to create an edgier look or a more modest one ... whether you call yourself crafty or couture, the Sewing Circle is for you.
WHEN? We meet 2 or 3 times a month, alternating between a weeknight (usually 6-8) and Saturday afternoon (2-5).
WHERE? Currently we are alternating between SE Portland and Tigard.
WHAT TO BRING? It depends! Some meetings are focused on fitting: for those, just bring the pattern pieces, either tissue or fabric, or the basted garment. Other meetings are hands-on, with a few machines provided but space to bring your own machine. Some meetings have a specific theme, with specific things to bring. Usually, a few members bring handwork to do as we chat, and we always have a few Burda and Ottobre magazines and tracing paper so that you can trace a new pattern. I'll always email a day or 2 before a meeting to remind you of the specific things to bring.

What members are saying
“ Join because it will encourage you to sew, get unstuck on your projects and it's fun. Meeting new friends is great, and they are great resources for knowledge or where to look for ideas. ”
“ First time impression of an well organized group because of the leader. Not sure what type of group would evolve without her direction. ”
