Preserving Food with Dry Pack Canning

Details

You invest a lot of money in your food storage. Come and learn how to preserve your dried goods by dry pack canning them.

You can no longer use the LDS Home Storage Center for dry pack canning in #10 cans or mylar bags. BUT....you can check out the canners and sealers from the HSC and do it yourself at home.

You'll learn:

**How to go about checking out the canner or mylar bag sealer to be used at home.

**How to actually use them and all the different foods and supplies you can preserved that aren't offered at the HSC that will allow you to find better prices on goods but still allow you to dry pack at your convenience.

** How mylar bags can be custom-made to hold the smallest amount of herbs or medicines perhaps that could be included in your 72 hour kits.

**How to dry pack can using simple mason jars or PETE containers.

** What PETE container is :)

**How you can use your oven to dry pack can for longer term storage.

**How to use and seal mylar bags in buckets for larger amounts of dry goods.
