ABOUT PFLAG AUSTIN
PFLAG Austin is a chapter of a national 501c3 non-profit organization that provides free, confidential support groups for Austin, Texas area LGBTQ persons, along with their family and friends. If you, or someone you care about, has come out as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer then PFLAG Austin meeting is a great place for you to be!

WHAT TO EXPECT AT A SUPPORT GROUP MEETING
Most of the meeting is spent in a sharing circle where people are seated in a circle taking turns discussing issues or asking questions and then allowing someone from the group to respond. You may participate in the discussion or just observe, whatever you feel comfortable doing. Every meeting is different and you will find the discussion interesting and you'll feel a sense of being connected to others as they share and discuss issues. The discussion is moderated by the organizer to ensure fairness and to meet the needs of all the attendees. Topics vary by month and by location depending upon the needs of those who attend. Snacks and beverages are provided. There is no cost to attend the meetings. You can just come as you are, no need to bring anything, the environment is casual. Donations are appreciated and accepted at the meetings or you can click the link near the bottom of this page to donate through PayPal.

NOTE: even though many of our support group meetings are held in churches, PFLAG Austin is agnostic with respect to religion. We do not endorse nor discuss religion in our support groups.

WHAT NEXT?
We have several meetups per month, at different locations and times. Typically people attend at the same location but you are free to go to any or all of them. We encourage you to RSVP because it encourages other people to come but it is not required.
