Hello friends,

I just got off the phone with Janet Cook.  She will not have access to her computer today and asked me to send you this information.  Would you please send this out to your members?  This movie is being shown this weekend only in Pittsburgh.

I had the pleasure today of seeing a screening of the this wonderful new Christmas movie.

It is a project of Senator Rick Santorum.  When he introduced the movie he talked about the fact that the biggest problem we have today is that our culture has been corrupted. Hollywood, the music industry and television are telling us that things we have valued are no longer valuable. Things that we know are wrong are now acceptable. We have being discussing the fact that we are in a battle for the soul of our country and we can feel it.

He was asked to head up a movie studio to produce films that can counter the present assault on our culture and religion. The first film they produced is "The Christmas Candle" based on the book from Max Lucado.  It is a beautiful movie that is loaded with stars.

It is opening this week-end in 400 theaters around the country.  If it gets enough attendance this week-end it will released in theaters all over the country.  This could be an opportunity to show the entertainment industry that there is a market for good films.

My personal feeling is that this could be a new Christmas classic.  Imagine a Christmas movie that actually talks about Jesus Christ. The problem is it is opening the same week-end as the "Hunger Games". If you can get to a showing this week-end it would make a statement.

It is showing at the Pittsburgh Mills and Loews at the Waterfront. You can check show times by going to the website.

Tell your friends, neighbors and church leaders.  This is an important film.
