Subject: About PA Governor's actions

To selected civic leaders on my lists,

I’m not sure where you all stand with regard to the Governor and the PA Governor’s race ---- and I know that most of your groups do not endorse candidates. The attachment and the comments below are for your information. Please share with others as you see fit.

We tend to point out the errors of elected officials (and there are many) but we also need to praise them for doing the right thing. The Governor signed his fourth operating budget without a tax increase and objected to the amount of legislative costs by line item vetoing $72 million. (Please note I stated “operating budget” --- I am still upset with the transportation budget tax increase ---- but we can’t be suppressing votes when we are now facing a socialist by the name of Wolf who will tax everything in sight.)

Pension deniers like candidate Wolf are inflicting a nightmare on property owners across PA. That nightmare will extend to children as school boards are forced to cut electives and extra activities to plow more money into pension funds. Finally when there are insufficient funds to pay their pensions, the nightmare will hit teachers. And to top it off --- Wolf’s own company forced the conversion of his company’s defined benefits pension to a 401(k) type pension to “save the company.” Why doesn’t Wolf have the moral authority to do what is right? He sold his moral authority to the union bosses.
