Ride for Kids®
The Ride for Kids® program supports the efforts of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF) to find the cause of and cure for childhood brain tumors. Come join thousands of your motorcyclist friends at events around the country to make a difference in children's lives! When you ride with us side by side in that endless column of bikes, people waving at you at every turn, you'll know you're making a positive statement for our sport at the same time.

2009 Philadelphia Ride For Kids®
Planning for the 2009 Philadelphia Ride For Kids® is well under way. This year’s event is Sunday September 20. The Philadelphia Ride For Kids® would once again greatly appreciate your help as a volunteer or rider. Your participation is appreciated by the “Stars” who have come to rely on us for help and will also greatly enhance your experience of the day. Please contact either Mitzi Krauss or Rex Alfes by way of the Philadelphia website email (Volunteer@Philadelphia-RideForKids.org) immediately to verify your ability to help the Ride For Kids® this year. In order volunteers to perform this essential service, it will be necessary for you to attend a training session. Volunteering does not preclude riding in the event, although we do need persons who choose not to ride. This year we expect a record turnout once again and we need all of the volunteer help we can get. If you know someone, perhaps a family member or friend, who would like to help, please bring them along to the training and, if at all possible. let us know beforehand. Send your contact information;

Start Point parking Volunteers: Lee Felice will be in touch with his group about a refresher. This location will be the same as always.
ESCORT VOLUNTEERS:
No training necessary. Sidecars and escort vehicles who may be carrying “stars” or their family members, need to be registered with the patient family liaison and on site by 8:15 am, gassed up, and ready to roll. To register your motorcycle as an escort, please email Lee Krauss (VRBlackcloud@comcast.net). If you have extra helmets, you may bring them with you. We will have some available. Escorts may also be registered the morning of the event on an as-needed basis. We ask that you contact us immediately to confirm your participation in this event, or if you have questions or concerns.
Thank you for your help and we look forward to working with you on this year’s ride.
Sincerely,
Rex Alfes and Mitzi Krauss
