The Very First PHP.FRL Meetup

Details
During this very first PHP.FRL Meetup, we will introduce the idea behind the PHP.FRL usergroup.
Our speaker for this first meetup is Bart McLeod, Zend Framework expert who has a book coming out soon on migrating from Zend Framework 1 to Zend Framework 2. He will be speaking about using Events in Zend Framework 2.
We're still looking for a location! Do you have an office that we can use for this meetup? Are you willing to provide some coffee, tea, soda and beer and perhaps some food/snacks? Let us know!
Schedule:
19:00 - welcome (coffee/tea)
19:30 - Opening: PHP.FRL? What is it? How to join? (Stefan Koopmanschap)
20:00 - Bart McLeod - Events in Zend Framework 2

Events in Zend Framework 2
Events are a powerful means to sustain loosely coupled programming. We see more and more modern MVC frameworks embrace events that are triggered and handled within the server side code. The MVC execution chain offers its own set of events that you can hook into, while you can also implement your own. Event driven programming is fun and its opens up possibilities you wouldn't have without them. Greater flexibility just adds to the benefits. You do wise to plan on how events would best fit into your application up front, but building them into an existing application is surely doable as well. Learn more about how events work in Zend Framework 2 during this living coding presentation.
