Workarounds that work (BRT)

Antti Salovaara will take us on a journey regarding the topic of “workarounds that work”. With concrete examples of technology use workarounds, he will challenge the common idea that technologies and information systems have intended uses that workers should follow to achieve high results. Through discussion on the calls for creativity and innovation in knowledge work, he will engage the audience into discussion on a tolerable level of deviant use of technology that should be nurtured in order to bring benefit for companies.

Antti Salovaara is a post doc researcher at Aalto University and an adjunct professor (docent) in University of Helsinki. He has a PhD in Cognitive Science from the University of Helsinki and a M.Sc. (Computer Science from the Helsinki University of Technology - now part of Aalto University.
