Lived aboard a couple of 40+ sailboats for 10 yrs in Seattle and Tacoma. Sailed Puget Sound, but always had someone telling me how to trim the sails. I've taken TWSA (Tacoma Women's Sailing Association) sailing classes for three years (I keep going back because we have such a great time!) and crew in CYTC's Wednesday night Windseeker races throughout the summer in Commencement Bay. Since I'm in business for myself, I get up to Seattle from Tacoma regularly for clients. I can take advantage of crewing opportunities there, too. I'm in love with sailing and being on the water, plus I really appreciate the boating community....great friends to hang out with!
Tom McDonald sent the invite to join.....I'm already a member of the PSSG and look forward to sailing with this group, too.
Good times, sailing experience and, with a little luck, make some new, life-long friends who also love the beauty of sailing across the Sound! Hope to share some day sails, maybe some trips to the islands (San Juans, Gulf Islands, South Sound).
Crew -- no boat at this time.
I live and sail in the Tacoma/Seattle area, plus go gunkholing in the San Juans when I get the chance. I'm a former liveaboard, and now I crew on different boats for fun, to meet great folks, and learn various rigging setups.
